Mother;; Ren Medo: alive, well:: She is the one that is pushing him towards being a medical ninja, and has high expectations when he does become a medical ninja. Ren tends to be more pushy and intimidating than her husband, and is the one wearing the pants in the family. Mitsuru and Ren have grown apart with age. 

Father;; Jun Medo: alive, well:: Very quiet and gentle, Jun listens to exactly what Ren wants when she wants something; while he is less inclined to force Mitsuru to do anything, he pushes him gently to doing whatever he wants but recommends him down the Medical path.
 
Sister;; Eri Medo: alive, well:: The two are very close, and Eri closely depends on her brother, looking up to the older sibling.

Mitsuru has tried to work on his confidence since the Academy exams, and as a result has grown to be very independent and doesn't want to ask people for help really anymore as he used to. Honestly, he has grown to hate people controlling him such as his parents; which causes a major strain on his relationship with his parents. However, this independence has caused other problems with his lack of confidence and he constantly judges him self rather harshly. Similarly, Mitsuru represses his emotions through a facade of a happy and optimistic teenager. 

On a more positive note, he has yet to overcome shyness and his talkative personality when he meets other people. With time and getting to know him, he gets less and less talkative and becomes a listener type of friend. Often times he has nothing to say or thinks of himself as uninteresting and loves to listen to other people talk about themselves. He is really loyal to his friends and would never leave them behind for any reason.

 History: 
The academy year had been a rather rough experience. From the violent time spent within the towers in the first exam, to the utter confusion for the second exam. The third exam being something more up his alley, ninjutsu based exam that actually helped him with his element, Earth. After realizing that he doesn't need to be so dependent on people, he has established a habit of keeping to himself more than he already did, no longer letting people control him. 

When the team were announced, he was pleased to hear it would be with Kyandiko, but is slightly terrified to see Aiko again after literally failing his second academy exam at his hands. However, he has convinced himself to walk in with an open mind. Team commando shall rise 

After the last three years he has finally developed a sense of independence from his family and others. He's ready to take over the world.

• The jeans he wore were too long for him, so his mother rolled them up every morning.

• Has a cat, named her Ribbons and was given to him by Koneko.
• He has kept a painting by Kisa of himself in his room, and likes to keep flowers next to it. 
• Mitsuru occasionally drops flowers off to Kisa as compensation for the painting .
